Country Fair – Factoid Number 10!
St Ewe Country Fair – 21st August 2016
Factoid Number 10
Did you know?
About the mystery of the vanishing sheep?
Over the years we’ve had many different types of livestock on show at the fair. Horses, goats, alpacas, geese, hens, ducks, bantams, sheep and many others have clucked, honked, neighed and entertained young and old alike. This year we hope to have a good selection of creatures for visitors to see.
Early in the history of the event we had on show some rare breed sheep, so rare in fact that they vanished before the event opened to the public. Perhaps they were feeling ‘sheepish’. Luckily they were discovered in one of the tents some say enjoying a cream tea, others thought a pint and pasty. What variety of rare breed you may ask? Houdini’s!
12 weeks to this year’s fair!
The St Ewe Country Fair returns after a break in 2015 and to countdown there will be a new factoid posted each week leading up to the event.
Please put the date in your diary.
