Country Fair – Factoid Number 13!
St Ewe Country Fair – 21st August 2016
Factoid Number 13
Did you know?
You get by with a little help from your friends.
The Country Fair is run entirely by volunteers. There is a small committee which coordinates the event but when it comes to running the show we have to rely on local support to make it happen.
In 2015 over 90 people were involved over the weekend of the fair, most on show day. That’s about a fifth of the population of St Ewe and the hamlets of Polmassick, Pengrugla and Kestle. It just shows what a fantastic community we have as almost all of the helpers were from the parish or close by.
We need lots of help again this year, especially as some of our previous stalwarts are not available. Pretty much anyone in the village will point you in the direction of John or Karen who keep on top of the main list of who does what, contact us as below or mention it in the pub, church, village hall and at Gorran School.
9 weeks to this year’s fair!
The St Ewe Country Fair returns after a break in 2015 and to countdown to the great event we post a new factoid here each week.
Put the date in your diary – 21 AUGUST 2016.
You can look out for these posts each week on Facebook and here on the St Ewe Parish website (www.st-ewe-parish.co.uk/news).
