Tug of War:

Tug of War

Near the end of the afternoon we have the annual Tug of War competition. This is open to all visitors/locals where you will need a team of 8 to compete. It is great fun and adds a competitive edge to the days events. Please turn up with your team of 8 on the day – no formal entry required. If you are one or two people short, don’t worry as I’m sure we can find willing participants to join your team. Current trophy holders are The Crown Inn, St Ewe. Come along and test your strength against them this year!

Children’s Painting Competition:

In addition to the Junior Class Competitions as detailed in the Schedule, there is another Painting Competition for children of primary school age (up to Year 6 – and the children who have just left primary school this term). This year the competition is open to ALL children in the three parishes (St Ewe, Gorran and Caerhays). This can be through a local club or individually. The theme this year is Cornish Sea Life. Paintings can be in any media and should be A4 in size. Entry is free and The Lobbs Farm Shop have kindly offered to collect entries for us. Closing date is the shop closing time on Saturday 5th August 2017. All paintings will be judged by local artist Mally Francis. Please note that we have already received entries from the children who attend Gorran School. We look forward to receiving lots of entries.  No entry form needed.
